Why important to have SPF record?
What are SPF records?
The Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is a DNS TXT type record that lists authenticated servers for sending emails on behalf of your domain. Why are SPF records important? There are two essential reasons to have an SPF record for any domain:
Security: SPF records ensure that nobody impersonates your servers while sending emails to your users. An SPF entry in your DNS TXT record provides for the IP address authentication every time a mail is sent. And since the SPF records won’t mention the fraud IP address, the mail won’t get delivered or will land in the spam folder instead.
Email Delivery: In addition, having SPF records improves email delivery . Email sent by domains not having an SPF record may cause the mail to get delivered in the spam box, missing important communication.
